David Ayala is KEY Academy's Vice Principal. Last year, Mr. Ayala was honored with the Kinder Award for excellence in teaching. He joined KEY in the Spring of 2003 from Georgetown University’s Development Office. Prior to working at Georgetown, Mr. Ayala taught at St. Paul/ Our lady of Vilna Elementary School in Chicago as a member of the Inner City Teaching Corps. An avid runner and bicyclist, Mr. Ayala served as the basketball, football, volleyball, and soccer coach while teaching in Chicago. He earned a B.S. in business administration from Georgetown University and completed graduate work at Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy.
