Salgado is a teacher at KIPP DC: WILL Academy. 
Prior to working at KIPP DC, she worked at Univision in Washington D.C.
which motivated her to join Teach For America where she taught fourth grade at
Little River Elementary School in the community of Little Haiti in Miami,
Florida for three years.  She graduated
with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and International Affairs from
Florida Sate University in 2002, and received a Masters of Science in Urban
Education from Florida International University.
