Grow Academy welcomed its first class of Pre-Kindergarten students in July 2010. The school will add a grade level each year, ultimately providing DC students with a world-class Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten education. We are housed on the same campus as WILL Academy, a 5th-8th grade middle school and an elementary school that will open in 2012. The moment a student enters our school, they are granted one promise: to be supported, encouraged, and guided to and through college.
In order to nurture and guide our students’ creativity, knowledge, and sense of self, we constantly celebrate the growth of our students’ minds. They will come to know the importance of working hard as they develop into confident, intelligent individuals. Even when something is difficult or seemingly impossible, our students embody persistence and perseverance, and never give up. A developmentally appropriate, yet rigorous curriculum holds our students to the highest academic standards, while still affording time for students to learn essential social skills. By making smart and positive choices, we model great leadership and hope to instill this value in the leaders of tomorrow. Through honoring classmates, teachers, parents, and the world, our students will become responsible members of our global community.
