Application Deadline

We are still accepting applications for a limited number of lead teacher roles for the fall. Immediately, we are hiring these positions for the 2022-23 school year: 5th Grade Lead Teacher, Middle School English Teacher, Middle School Math Teacher, and High School Special Education Teacher.  Apply today!

The Process

For most teaching candidates who progress beyond the online application, the selection process involves the following steps:

Capital Teaching Residents

Capital Teaching Residents commit to teaching for a minimum of three years in Washington, DC. Residents spend the first year of this commitment—their residency year—training in a classroom with a highly effective lead teacher. Residents are placed at one of KIPP DC’s 20 high-performing public schools in Washington, DC.
