Earl Galleher is currently Chief Executive Officer of Potter Falrich, Inc., a consulting services and investment firm providing small companies with capital and management expertise to help them achieve growth and profitability goals. Prior to founding Potter | Falrich, Mr. Galleher was a Series A round investor and advisor to Akamai Technologies, Inc. of Cambridge, Massachusetts (NASDAQ:AKAM) prior to their incorporation in 1998. Following his investment, he went on to join the company full time to build their Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions and to lead their global expansion. As Executive Vice President of the Corporation, Mr. Galleher grew revenue from $0 to $165 million annualized, and built an organization of 625 employees in 17 offices world wide, maintaining responsibility for a $100 million P&L. Prior to joining Akamai, Mr. Galleher was President of the Web Site Management Division of DIGEX, Incorporated, in Beltsville, Maryland. There, he defined the product offering of Web Site Hosting for large corporations requiring complex, high availability web site management services, grew his organization from 0 to 260 employees, took revenue from $0 to $25 million annualized, co-led a successful IPO in October 1996, and ultimately sold the company for $178 million, all in two years. DIGEX continues to operate today as a division of MCI Corporation. Mr. Galleher has served on the Board of KIPP DC since January 2003. He has served as Treasurer, Chairman of the Expansion Committee and Chairman of the Fundraising Committee for the school during his period on the Board. His enthusiasm for the accomplishments of the school has led him to provide over $600,000 of funding and funding guarantees to the school since he joined the Board. A former DC resident, Mr. Galleher earned a B.A. in psychology from Denison University and is married with two young children.
