Mekia Love 

Mekia Love is KEY Academy's fifth grade reading teacher. Last year, Ms. Love won the Galleher Award for excellence in teaching. Prior to joining our staff in the summer of 2005, Ms. Love was the Recruitment Director for Teach for America in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Love has also taught fourth and fifth grades in Indianola, Mississippi as a part of the Teach for America Corps and served as an Assistant Media Planner for Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide in New York, NY. Ms. Love earned her B.S. in Journalism from the University of Colorado.
