US Army Lieutenant Colonel Steven Parker has served in an array of professional roles from platoon leader, to UN Military Observer in Western Sahara, and Military Liaison in the Horn of Africa. Parker planned and resourced the first Humanitarian Assistance Conference in Djibouti, earning the "27 June Medal," from the Republic of Djibouti. He is presently in Command of the Division Special Troops Battalion in the 10th Mountain Division. In 2005, President George W. Bush appointed him to the 2005-2006 Class of White House Fellows where he worked on the Helping America's Youth Initiative in the Office of the First Lady. LTC Parker is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and Yale University.
