Associate General Counsel

KIPP DC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate General Counsel to join the Office of General Counsel. The Associate General Counsel will be responsible for providing legal representation in a variety of areas including special education, civil litigation, procurement, labor & employment law. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students in the District of Columbia. This position will involve leading the organization’s special education due process litigation. Reporting directly to the General Counsel and as part of the Legal Team this position will provide legal advice and representation to KIPP DC, attend meetings and hearings, and ensure compliance with federal and state education laws and regulations, among other things. The anticipated starting salary for this position is $123,246-$152,245.

Licensed Mental Health Practitioner

KIPP DC is looking for a dynamic, committed, and flexible mental health practitioner to become part of a vibrant educational community. KIPP DC mental health practitioners are responsible for delivering effective, high-quality, interventions that are data-driven. We are looking for a dedicated mental health practitioner who will drive the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of our students and families through a responsive continuum of services to ensure academic growth. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm two times per week, and 7:30 am to 4:00 pm three times per week. This role is an exempt position and reports to the school leader. At KIPP DC we strive for clarity, equity, and to be highly competitive. We look at compensation benchmarks in schools across DC. Mental Health Practitioner salaries are exempt and start at $71,475 and increase with years of experience. Mental Health Practitioners can earn up to $5,000 in renewal add-ons to their base salary each year they return to KIPP DC.
