Growth
At KIPP DC, we believe we are always learning. We’ve identified core competencies that drive our work and aligned development opportunities to these competencies. All employees have funds to seek professional development, weekly development opportunities planned by the KIPP DC team, and partnerships with outside organizations for team members to sharpen their skills.
Team Culture and Equity
We build a strong regional culture through recognition, collaboration, and joy. From annual awards, lunch and learns, and team outings, there are many ways we come together as a team. As a public school system, we also aim to identify and confront institutional racism to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for staff and students. Bi-annual all-staff surveys, quarterly diversity equity and inclusion training, and our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Coalition ensure we create a culture that allows the team to advance our anti-racist mission.
