2026-27 School Year
KIPP DC offers before and aftercare programs for families who need care for their students beyond the school day. Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, we are expanding programming across campuses to serve more families and provide consistent, high-quality afterschool experiences. Students participate in safe, structured, and engaging environments that include enrichment activities, homework support, and opportunities for play and social connection.

Before Care7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Aftercare3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Some campuses may also offer coverage for early release or half days depending on program availability.
Programs Available at KIPP DC
KIPP DC has expanded access to before and after school care so that there will be availability for every family that wants to access these programs. Families will have access to before and aftercare programs by one or a combination of the following providers:
- KIPP DC Before & Aftercare: A program operated directly by KIPP DC that provides structured programming, enrichment, and supervision.
- Innovation Learning: A national provider specializing in expanded learning programs that offer structured enrichment and academic support. Learn more about Innovation Learning.
- YMCA: A trusted community partner providing afterschool programming focused on enrichment, wellness, and youth development. Learn more about the YMCA at KIPP DC.
- Apollo Afterschool: A partner organization providing afterschool programming that includes enrichment activities, academic support, and supervised care in a structured environment. Learn more about Apollo Afterschool.
Before and aftercare offerings will vary by school and campus based on capacity, facilities, and program partnerships. Each school will share specific information about the before and aftercare options available on their campus.
