KIPP DC College Preparatory remembers student Tyshon Perry

Photo of Tyshon PerryWe are heartbroken by the loss of Tyshon Perry, a student at KIPP DC College Preparatory high school. We are grieving for his family, friends, and teachers, and are wrapping our arms around the KIPP DC College Prep community to support them. Today, hundreds of people touched by Tyshon’s life gathered at the school to remember their friend and support each other in the wake of this tragedy.

“The entire KCP community is mourning the loss of Tyshon,” said Andhra Lutz, principal of KIPP DC College Preparatory. “He was a vibrant part of our school and he will be deeply missed. We have been in close contact with Tyshon’s family and will continue to provide support to them in any way possible.”

Please consider supporting Tyshon’s family during this difficult time with a tax-deductible gift to the Tyshon Perry Memorial Fund.
