Ahead of the first day of classes on Monday, August 14, KIPP DC is working closely with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to ensure that all students who are eligible for OSSE-provided transportation to and from school receive these services.
While we are working to ensure on-time service for all families on Monday, there is potential for delays. OSSE will be alerting families by text message over the weekend notifying them of their students’ pick-up and drop-off times. This service is only provided to approximately 300 KIPP DC students who receive transportation through OSSE. This does not apply to students who utilize public transportation through DC’s Kids Ride Free program.
We are grateful to OSSE for providing this important service to our students and for their diligence to ensure accurate, timely transportation. Families with questions or concerns should email KIPP DC. We appreciate your patience and apologize if there are any service interruptions during the first week of school.
