KIPP DC has always been a proud innovator in education, putting our students and families first. In these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we plan for a new, different, and better tomorrow. And we are doing just that.

As we look toward the future, we’re excited about one of our brightest innovations yet: a first-of-its-kind community high school. This revitalized educational campus, recreation center, and community hub will bring new life and amenities to the heart of Ward 8, where many of our students live.

Designed in partnership with the community over several years, this new flagship campus will feature:

  • 21st-century academic and extracurricular spaces such as a dedicated college and career counseling suite, digital media arts studios, science labs, and more
  • Recreation facilities including a playground, basketball court, baseball diamond, football field, and track
  • Dual-use space for students and community members including an indoor pool, boxing gym, gymnasium, locker rooms, computer lab, community partner offices, and community garden
  • Community services and partnerships with DC Department of Parks and Recreation, Training Grounds, MedStar WISE Center, and Nationals Youth Baseball Academy
