Event Hosts
Greg Rottman, Senior Elementary Math Coach
Greg joined KIPP DC in 2012 as a 7th-grade math teacher at WILL Academy. While at WILL Academy, he served as a grade-level chair, 5th-grade math teacher, and vice principal before joining the instructional coaching team in the spring of 2020. Before joining KIPP DC, Greg taught high school mathematics as a Teach For America corps member in the Mississippi Delta region. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and later received a master’s degree in school administration and supervision from the University of Houston. When not thinking about math, Greg can most likely be found practicing yoga, bouldering, going to the movies, or watching reality TV with his dog and husband.

Teana Fields, High School Science Coach
Teana is a native Washingtonian who joined KIPP DC in 2018 with ten years of educational experience as a 5th-grade science teacher at Valor Academy. While at Valor Academy, she served as a grade-level chair and 5th-grade math and science teacher before joining the instructional coaching team in the summer of 2022. Before joining KIPP DC, Teana taught high school science and was a health science academy director at a local DC charter school. When Teana is not working, she can be found traveling the world, trying local restaurants, or lifting weights at the gym.
