After 12 years in the role, longtime board chair Terry Golden is stepping down from the position. We are extraordinarily grateful to Terry for his years of service and the indelible impact he has had on the lives of KIPP DC’s students, families, and staff members.
Under Terry’s leadership, KIPP DC has grown from four schools to 19 schools educating more students than any other public charter school in Washington, DC. We cannot thank him enough for all he has done for our school community over the years. Terry will step into a board advisor position as a lifetime member of the KIPP DC team and family, and Tony Lewis has been elected to be the new chair of KIPP DC’s board of directors.
