Our students develop the confidence and motivation to influence the world around them. Upon completion of eighth grade, Northeast Academy students have the choice to move onto KIPP DC College Preparatory or other competitive high schools in the District.

Academics
Northeast Academy fosters rigorous and supportive learning environments that prepare students for academic success in high school, college, careers, and beyond.
Students are engaged in a diverse curriculum of not only English, math, history, and science classes, but also orchestra, dance, and physical education.
Teachers at Northeast Academy are committed to supporting the social-emotional development of their middle school students by developing close relationships with their students and families—ensuring a smooth transition into adolescence.
Extracurriculars
Northeast Academy offers their middle school students a number of activities to grow as citizens and scholars, teaching their students to explore everything from sewing to chess. Students at Northeast Academy have access to the following extracurriculars: Girls on the Run, dance, girls basketball, boys basketball, garden club, choir, co-ed flag football, co-ed soccer, Pretty Brown Girls, CrossFit, cheerleading, Student Government Association, sewing club, performance orchestra group, martial arts, and more.
