Congratulations to KIPP DC’s own Tevera Stith for being awarded the KIPP Through College & Career Excellence in Leadership Award at KIPP School Summit 2017!
The Excellence in Leadership award recognizes one KIPP Through College & Career counselor in the KIPP network that embodies the ideals of the KIPP Through College & Career Program. Under Tevera’s leadership, KIPP DC has grown exponentially. The Class of 2016 has one of the highest Estimated College Completion rates for a graduating class, as well as one of the highest matching rates in the KIPP network.
This is a result of her tremendous vision and guidance in shaping KIPP DC’s college counseling, college partnerships, persistence and career practices over the past six years for the more than 2,500 KIPP DC students and alumni.
