Results & Impact

KIPP DC is consistently among the highest-performing PreK-12 public school systems in the District of Columbia. Our students are matriculating to college at nearly twice the D.C. average, and our alumni are on track to graduate at four times the D.C. average.

At KIPP DC, we are guided by three core motivations:

Getting Better

A great education is the best path to a life full of choice and opportunity. KIPP DC is laser-focused on improving outcomes for our students. Through our regional academic plan, a focus on supporting all students, and college and career preparedness programming – we’re taking steps to better prepare our students to become Washington, DC’s next generation of leaders.

We use a variety of tools to ensure we’re fulfilling our promises to students and families. Two key areas of focus are our students’ performance on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessment and the rate at which our alumni are matriculating and graduating from college.

  • Combined ELA & Mathematics PARCC Proficiency (percentage scoring 4 and above)
  • KIPP DC Alumni Outcomes (measures students who've graduate from a KIPP DC middle school)
